Heart, Intentions & How To Bring God’s Name Into The Heart

His Holiness Younus AlGohar answers questions from a viewer in Egypt, who wanted the know about intentions of the heart and how to get God’s presence in the heart.

Main points:

- Intentions are something you plan and then execute; they don’t necessary have to be from the heart. God is concerned about the intentions of your heart. If your heart is impure, the intentions therein are impure. If it's purified, the intentions therein also become purified. With the presence of God in your heart, all intentions of the heart will be about God and his love; it will be stronger than any other desire.

- The heart itself isn't impure; when it was placed in the body, it was placed along with the satanic spirit, the Nafs. The Nafs’ diet is Naar (fire). When the heart was placed inside the body, it became entrapped in 180 000 layers of Naar, which made it impure.

- To become a Momin (true believer), Divine Energy of the Declaration of Faith must enter the heart. For this, you need a Spiritual Guide. With authority and permission of God, the spiritual guide will remove the 180 000 layers on the heart and implant the seed of God's name therein. Salat and fasting have been made obligatory upon Momineen only, as evident from Prophetic Traditions and verses of the Quran.

- When your heart is not purified, not articulated with the commemoration of God and not introduced Divine Energy, you are not on the right path. Misguidance according to God is that one’s heart is so hard that divine energy of God’s name does not enter their heart.
